Share a meal.  Share a story.
Monthly potluck dinners bring recent refugee arrivals and community members together.
***DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE ARE NOT CURRENTLY HOSTING COMMUNITY POTLUCK DINNERS.  WE WILL SEE YOU ALL WHEN IT IS SAFE TO GATHER.  STAY WELL.***
Our monthly community dinners are a joint venture between Butterfly Boxes, Refugee and Immigrant Hospitality Organization and Catholic Charities of Oregon's office of refugee resettlement, and are a great opportunity to come together with our newest neighbors and offer an in-person welcome.  Bring a favorite dish to share, and a desire to connect with someone whose story might differ from yours.

Dinners are held every other month (see above for the next date) at the Rosewood Initiative (address above).

COMMUNITY DINNER FAQs

- If possible, please double what you would normally make for a potluck.
- At this time, we do not have a stash of serving utensils.  Please bring whatever you might need to serve your dish.
- If you would like to send your leftovers home with others, please bring some disposable containers (i.e. Gladware, etc.) to pack them in.
- Please note what meat ingredients and/or common allergens are in your dish.  We have cards here you can print and bring with you. We will have extras available the night of.

- If you have any donations for Butterfly Boxes, we will happily accept them at the dinner.
